FLUX FACTOR
Flux Factor is a progressive contemporary dance intensive created by Jaclyn Royal, of Royal Flux dance company. The intense 4 days of dance training will give the dancers tools to enhance their physicality, refine their technique, and find a deeper connection to their artistry through dance. It is a safe and supportive place for dancers to explore the edges of their comfort zones both mentally and physically.
During the course of the workshop, dancers can anticipate hands-on training and feedback. The dancers will get a glimpse into the professional world of dance and gain a deeper understanding of the how the industry works. The participants will have the opportunity to take class from special guests that are some of the leading teachers and choreographers of our field.
This experience is personal and individualized as well as collaborative and communal. Dancers are asked to show up to Flux Factor full bodied and whole hearted, because this is where the magic happens! The participants will leave feeling accomplished and able to expand their vision of what is possible in dance and life. They will deeply connect to their artistry, find their voice, awaken their power, and be inspired to take their dancing to new heights.

This year, our intensive is offering participants the unique opportunity to engage directly in the creative process alongside members of Royal Flux. Dancers will learn and be inspired by professional dancers as they collaborate on innovative projects.
In addition, we will delve into the fascinating world of dance on film. Explore the dynamic techniques and creative nuances of translating dance from the stage to the screen. This provides an incredible opportunity to understand and participate in the entire production process, from conceptualization to filming.
Submission Process
Submit a one minute (minimum) video of yourself dancing contemporary to royalfluxdance@gmail.com. Click HERE to pay your submission fee. Please use either dropbox or upload to Youtube. Submission deadline is June 15th 2025. Space is limited so availability is not guaranteed. $20 submission fee.
